Laboratory Compliance Officer

Scope of Position

The lead technologist will work with the compliance manager to assist with all operational responsibilities for the Laboratory compliance programs. The Lead Tech will also have operational responsibilities for preparations for all accreditation and regulatory surveys and maintaining compliance with applicable agency standards.

Position Summary

The lead technologist will work with the compliance manager on all operational responsibilities for the laboratory compliance programs. The lead technologist will also have operational responsibility for preparations for all accreditation inspections and regulatory surveys, as well as maintaining compliance with applicable agency standards. This includes tracking documentation, providing materials, auditing records, and offering compliance and regulatory guidance to laboratory staff. The lead technologist will also be responsible for maintaining the online lab guide and continuing education webpage.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in medical technology or biologic science required with Medical Technology certification and 5 years of clinical laboratory experience. Skilled in use of Excel, Power Point, Access, Front Page, Adobe PDF Maker and other PC based programs. Experience, education, and/or certification in compliance programs preferred. Ability to interact effectively and as an advocate with physicians, staff, and external parties. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
