Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, a leader in Cancer care, is seeking a Full Time Research Assistant for our Arlington office. Under direct supervision, initiates and/or maintains accurate and current logs of all patients referred for participation in clinical research. Collects data from initial patient contact through course of therapy and long-term follow-up. Performs all clerical and administrative data management functions for the department. May assist with direct patient care, laboratory services, and maintenance of supplies duties as they relate to Clinical Research. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
Qualifications Minimum Job Qualification: Education/Training - High school diploma or equivalent, required 1 year medical office experience, oncology experience preferred, Phlebotomy skills a plus Business Experience - Experience in Microsoft Office Experience with computer data entry and database management preferred Specialized Knowledge/Skills- Excellent written and oral communication skills Excellent organizational skills Attention to details and accuracy Working Conditions: Traditional clinic/lab environment.
