PRIMARY FUNCTION:

As a team member of the melanoma translational research laboratory, contribute quality research outputs to our projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Independently develops scientific hypotheses related to ongoing work in the laboratory.
• Independently designs experiments to test hypotheses.
• Independently conducts and oversees experimental procedures, including delegating tasks as necessary. Prior experience with surgical techniques and induced iPSCs is preferred.
• Analyzes results of experiments independently.
• Design and organize databases along project frameworks and experimental research design that support overall research management, including the monitoring and evaluation of project inputs, actions, and outcomes, as well as the subsequent integration of these databases to other databanks.
• Collects and assembles data for any type of oral and written presentation.
• Independently prepares oral and written reports for the P.I. on research including, but not limited to: writing abstracts, manuscripts, grant proposals and data reports for grants and oral presentations with corresponding slide presentation for local and national meetings.
• Performs routine and more difficult procedures, analyzes data and coherently presents results in the form of presentations, abstracts, manuscripts and the basis for grant writing, preparation and submission.
• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University.
