The Manager of Affordability Analytics will lead the development and maintenance of a multi-year affordability analytics pipeline, partnering with the affordability team and business unit leadership to support the identification and implement data driven opportunities. This role will have a strong strategic and tactical focus, responsible for supporting cross functional business unit leaders by providing insights to opportunities and measuring results. This role will lead a team of professionals, and in partnering with the Affordability team, collaborate across the enterprise to inform decisions around affordability initiatives.

Responsibilities:



  • Team Leadership:

    • Oversee the healthcare economics affordability analytics team, managing a multiyear analytics pipeline that includes data collection, analysis, reporting, and strategic insights to support organizational goals.
    • Analyze and project healthcare affordability analytics by leveraging historical and forecasted data to inform strategic planning and operational decisions.
    • Develop and deliver leadership level presentations on analytics findings, value realization for partners (e.g. clients), forecasts, and project updates, ensuring clarity and strategic alignment.


  • Data Analysis:

    • Prioritize analytics projects across various stakeholders, facilitating the scoping and implementation of high impact data initiatives.
    • Identify gaps and challenges in current analytics processes and propose actionable solutions, coordinating with relevant teams to eliminate obstacles.
    • Act as the knowledge manager for affordability analytics within the organization, responding to requests for information and insights from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. clients, vendors, etc..) and ensuring access to relevant data.


  • Collaboration and Partnerships:

    • Collaborate with the affordability team and enterprise business unit leaders as a strategic partner to enhance their data driven decision making processes, providing insights and support throughout the analytics lifecycle.
    • Serve as a liaison across the organization, connecting business units with appropriate data resources to accelerate the implementation of analytics initiatives.
    • Partner with the VP of Affordability to drive continuous improvement in analytics processes, tools, and team performance.
    • Collaborate with data engineering and IT teams to enhance the technical infrastructure supporting analytics initiatives.


  • Business Acumen:

    • Develop, document, and maintain operating playbooks, workflows, and standard operating procedures for analytics processes, ensuring consistent and well documented methodologies.
    • Partner with finance to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting of analytics projects to cross functional leadership.
    • Foster the development and growth of direct reports, providing guidance and support for their professional development needs.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations in analytics practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.





Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Economics, or equivalent experience in related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in healthcare analytics or data driven roles within the healthcare or insurance industries.
  • 4+ years of experience in project planning and program management, specifically focused on analytics initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, evaluate, and interpret complex data sets, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with competing priorities, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Experience working both independently and collaboratively in cross functional teams, engaging with individuals from diverse professional backgrounds.



Preferred:



  • Master's degree in Data Science, Healthcare Analytics, Healthcare Economics or a related field.
  • Management consulting experience with a focus on analytics and strategy.
  • Proven experience in leading largescale, cross functional analytics initiatives.



This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work from the designated office - Minnetonka, MN, or Madison, WI - , on average, 2+ times per week.

The full salary range for this position is $98,400 - $168,600. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data. In addition to base compensation, this position may be eligible for incentive plan compensation in addition to base salary.
