Responsibilities

The Lead Medical Assistant (LMA) works under the Director / Practice Manager to assist with maintaining efficient patient flow and quality care during clinic hours. This position assists the supervisors in training new staff. The LMA is responsible for assisting physicians with patient care, clerical, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization.



Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Completion of Medical Assistant Certification.
3. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current
4. Minimum one five work experience in related job.
5. Work experience in health care preferred.
6. Familiarity with medical terminology required
7. Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol)
8. Computer skills required.
