Responsibilities

This position is responsible for overseeing staff, resources, and processes involved in the daily operations of blood components. The main objective is to ensure the efficient fulfillment of customer requirements for quantity, products, and services. The responsibilities of this position may include dispatch coordination, vehicle maintenance, and logistics routing.

Duties, Responsibilities or Activities:

    Technical/Quality management of HS
  • Assures technical accuracy and compliance of staff, computer systems, equipment and all processes involved:
    • Storing,
    • Consigning,
    • Returning
  • Maintaining all blood products, through compliance with SOPs, cGMPs and regulatory standards
  • Delivery & Transportation Logistics and Support (as Applicable)
  • Scheduling mobiles and fixed site pickups and deliveries (as Applicable)
  • Developing alternate delivery options when required
  • Courier Billing to customers w/BECS Scheduling and Payroll
  • Schedules day-to-day operation and workflow for all shifts in HS.
  • External Customer Engagement and Support (as Applicable)
  • Evaluation and follow up of Customer Service reports/complaints
  • Inventory/order reviews and evaluation
    • Blood type review
    • Turnaround time on orders
  • Daily communication as needed
  • Attendance
  • Tracks attendance
  • Completes appropriate timecard records/reviews
  • Coordinates on call staff (As Applicable)
  • HS Vehicle Management, maintain Hospital Services Vehicles (As Applicable)

  • Provides leadership support as needed for unsupervised departments.
  • Uniformly interprets and enforces corporate policies, safety practices and quality compliance to all shifts.
  • Prepares Deviations and develops and implements corrective action as needed to resolve issues of non-compliance.
  • Collaborate with QA and laboratories to investigate blood recalls for both in-state and export customers.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Related Experience:

3+ years of experience working in distribution, transportation, or logistics

2+ years of experience as a lead involving training and mentoring or 1+ years as a supervisor

Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to the requirements listed above that has supplied the necessary knowledge, skills, and experience to perform the essential functions of the job.

The proposed compensation for this role is $30.75/hour. The work schedule would include a start time between the hours of 11am-2pm as well as meeting the department scheduling needs.
