Job Overview

The Writer Intern position works under the supervision of a Senior Writer, and in close collaboration with the Brand and Creative team and the Marketing and Communications department at Children's Hospital Colorado. Responsible for creating a range of content for various audiences and channels that powerfully reflect the passion, integrity and mission of our brand.

Job Status: 40 hours per week, eligible for benefits
Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Currently seeking a college degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Write clear, compelling, and brand-aligned content for various marketing channels, including social media, web, print, and email campaigns.
  • Assist in researching topics and gathering background information to support content development.
  • Adapt messaging to different audiences while maintaining the organization's voice and tone.
  • Proofread and edit content for grammar, clarity, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, strategists, and other writers to produce cohesive and effective marketing materials.
  • Organize and maintain content assets, including templates, style guides, and past projects.
  • Take direction and apply feedback from senior writers and marketing team members to improve content quality.
  • Manage small-scale writing projects independently while supporting larger team initiatives.

Salary Information

Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $31,255.31 to $46,882.96
Hourly Salary Range: $15.03 to $22.54
