Lead Billing Representative - Surgical Services - 40 Hours - Day Shift

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This role is an integral daily component of Surgical Services integrating with many subsets of Surgical Services, Daily review, audit and maintenance of all charge/finance aspects of patient charts. Interacting with IT and R1 on a daily basis including significant follow up. Working with OR managers/Educators, OR staff regarding charges which requires significant follow up. Working with Reps from all specialties regarding pricing/invoice. Daily discharge upgrades for each patient charts.

• Leads assigned staff in performing activities or tasks relating to patient billing services.
  
  
  
  • Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
  • Assigns, monitors and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  
  
  
  
• Daily Analytical Data Reporting for Surgical Surgeries Daily
• Working with Finance with Daily Charges, Charge Review and any other assistance Lead Rep for Finance/Charge review requires
• Review pic sheets and work with other IS Administrators to maintain OR pic sheets
• Update Surgical Preference Sheets with Team Leaders for all Specialties including global changes
• Update Surgical procedures with Team Leaders for all Specialties
• Update Surgical equipment and instrumentation for All Specialties
• People soft application/obtain pricing/confirming supply on contract/vendor information
• Daily discharge upgrades for each patient/case cancellations line by line
• Perfusion charges
• Work with OR managers to distribute charts for correction and education
• Endoscopy charges
• Obtaining vendor invoices
• Daily suspend report
• Work with team leaders to update pic lists to ensure supplies are correct
• Knowledge of extensive list of specialties for managing pick lists for Surgical Services for charges/audit/finance review

POSITION SUMMARY:

• Henry Ford Providence Hospital - Southfield
• 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Overtime as needed
• Orientation will be in Novi for the first 12-weeks, or as needed
