Responsibilities



  • Design cable and interconnect assemblies for both fixed and mobile robot applications.
  • Own designs throughout their lifetime, from concept to validation and production handoff, ensuring they meet system level goals.
  • Prototype, build, bring up, integrate, troubleshoot, and verify, both independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and with external partners.
  • Generate and maintain engineering documents such as requirements, drawings, BOM, test plans and reports, release notes, and ECOs.
  • Closely cooperate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, compliance, and other teams.
  • Assist with triage, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, compliance testing, manufacturing, and sustaining activities.


Required Qualifications



  • B.Sc. in electrical or mechanical engineering with 5+ years of related experience developing cables and harnesses
  • Experience with various cable assembly and wire harness designs for industrial applications.
  • Experience with electrical aspects such as power, conduction, shielding, grounding, and various signal types, including power, digital, analog, RF.
  • Experience with mechanical aspects such as routing, fastening, flexibility
  • System-oriented, with the ability and desire to dive into the smallest details.
  • Experience with lab equipment, and with assembly of cables and harnesses.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good communication skills.
  • Proactive, with a can-do attitude, hands-on approach, and a strong sense of ownership.
  • To conform with U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Familiar with ORCAD and SolidWorks or equivalent design tools.
  • Experience with robotics applications in compliance with industrial standards.
  • Experience with the development of products to meet safety and compliance standards.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and offer new ideas to improve products, processes, and procedures.


The annual salary range for this role is $132,000 - $156,000 a year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. This position is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus program. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
