Assistant Event Facilitator

Over the last 20 years, the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) has distinguished itself as one of the fastest-growing art museums in North America. Founded in 1799, it is also the country's oldest continuously operating museum. Under supervision of the Director of Event Rentals and Catering Services, the Assistant Event Facilitator will serve as the primary support for after hours functions and events.

The Assistant Event Facilitator acts on behalf of the function rental office and serves, when scheduled to do so, as a representative of the Museum at after-hours functions and events. The Assistant Event Facilitator oversees the general conduct of specified functions and events, ensuring strict adherence to the Museum's policies and standard operating procedures, as well as faithful implementation of its agreements with clients, caterers, and other service providers

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or enrolled in college seeking a degree in hospitality. Experience in hospitality/food and beverage, catering, and/or events preferred. Excellent verbal communication with strong time management skills are a must. This is a limited part time role meant to be performed on an as needed hourly basis, mostly on weekends and evenings at after hour events. The hiring range for this role is $19.00 to $19.50.
