The Grant lab, located in the Nelson Labs Building on the Busch Campus Piscataway, seeks a Postdoctoral Associate to support research in an externally funded collaborative program investigating the biology by which neurons manage stress via ejection of large extracellular vesicles. More specifically, the PhD scientist will conduct research on questions related to molecular mechanisms by which such vesicles form and identify specific triggers that elicit their production.
The individual will report directly to the Principal Investigator. The research will include design and execution of C. elegans genetic analysis and high-resolution imaging experiments, recombinant DNA techniques, CRISPR DNA editing, phenotypic analysis, and confocal microscopy. The candidate will be expected to contribute original research data and analysis for publication and grant applications. The candidate will aid the PI in preparing written reports of research experiments as well as oral presentations of the research.

Minimum Education and Experience
PhD in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry or other related field, that includes at least 2 years of research experience with a genetics system such as yeast, Drosphila, or C. elegans; basic molecular biology approaches.
