Description

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Proposal Writer to join our Business Development. The Proposal Writer will report to the Vice President of Proposal Operations and Marketing and will be responsible for supporting Requests for Proposal (RFPs), IDIQ Task Orders, unsolicited White Papers, Requests for Information (RFIs), and strategic opportunities to support the growth of the company. Responsibilities:
As a Proposal Writer you will also support marketing initiatives. In addition, you will research, organize, and write proposal content and will lead and coordinate the development of RFIs and white papers. You will also provide editing and desktop publishing for outgoing proposal deliverables. This is a growth opportunity and additional responsibilities may develop over time.
Experience Needed to Be Successful:
  • 2+ years of experience with technical writing, editing, coordination, and proposal development in support of the federal government
  • Experience working in a fast paced, team environment and be adaptable to changing priorities
  • Experience drafting content for RFIs and proposal sections (management, technical, staffing, executive summaries, past performance, etc.)
  • Experience interviewing SMEs, consultants, capture managers, and other proposal team members to obtain information for proposals and then independently develop technically clear and compelling proposal content
  • Experience editing, formatting, and desktop publishing
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines
  • Experience coordinating and reviewing / editing proposal input from a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience working with graphic designers to develop graphic depictions of technical content to support proposal sections
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite, and Adobe Professional

  • Experience with Information Technology and Aviation Security proposals
  • Flexibility and energy to work long hours, nights, and weekends, if required
  • Shipley Training
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
Basic Qualifiers:
  • Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, Business, IT, or related field required
  • Can Additional Years of Experience Substitute for Degree? No
  • Minimum Years of Overall Experience: 2
