Hanger, Inc. is looking to add a Lead Senior Accountant to our dynamic Corporate Accounting team at the HRC Austin, TX location. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record. This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable managing multiple tasks concurrently.



Your Impact

    Perform monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing responsibilities in a timely manner including preparation and review of journal entries.
  • Prepare, review, and assist overseeing account reconciliations and ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Train and mentor, a team of accountants providing guidance and support to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Key contributor with the coordination and management of internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to audit requests.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and assist with the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in the accounting department.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business initiatives and provide insights to management.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting and to provide financial insights.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a Senior Accountant role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
