Position Details:

Merakey is looking for a talented Instructional Designer who embodies our core values of: Integrity, Diversity, Quality, Trust, Safety, and Compassion, to develop training solutions using instructional design best practices that support multiple learning styles. The Instructional Designer will partner with subject matter experts to identify an appropriate learning solution. They will update current training materials, as well as develop both content and process handouts.




  • Design and develop interactive, engaging, and effective e-learning programs through multiple modalities and tools.
  • Design and develop robust, innovative, instructor-led live and virtual training.
  • Consult with subject matter experts to uncover business needs, understand content complexities, and develop appropriate learning solutions to create engaging trainings
  • Evaluate how your content is being received and engaged with, and take action based on feedback to optimize.
  • Regularly communicate with team members to define deliverables, discuss project status, design outlines, create work plans and adhere to project deadlines.
  • Adhere to principles of Instructional System Design (ADDIE, RCD, SAM or other accepted system design model/approach) in an agile development model.
  • Design and interpret a variety of needs analysis; use front-end analyses including needs assessment, task analysis, content analysis, learner characteristic assessment, environmental review, and instructional analysis.

Our ideal candidate will possess the following skills:



  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or related
  • 3+ years of experience designing and developing adult learning materials, including proven history of needs assessments.
  • Ability to design and develop multi-media and interactive learning content that align with the course and program objectives.
  • Basic knowledge of technical abilities utilizing content creation applications like Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Camtasia, InDesign, Vyond Studio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to run multiple concurrent projects.
  • The ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate instructional deliverable proficiency through examples of prior work.
