Senior Manager Sales Strategy

The Senior Manager Sales Strategy position is responsible for developing aspects of Cox's GTM strategy for all products & services supported in Residential Sales & Service Channels. This position also will have a specific responsibility tied to the strategic planning, launch planning and execution of Cox Mobile.

This role is a key contributor for creating an agile, innovative, and highly motivated frontline teams focused on continuous improvement of sales performance, primarily supporting wireless target attainment, broadband target attainment, sales data trending / analytics, revenue contribution data, ARPU (Average Revenue per Unit) management and wireless line activation growth.

This role's objective is:

To be the Voice of the Channel Teams & Business: Collaborate with channel teams and business units to shape initiatives & define sales, retention, & service strategies prior to development.

Digestible & Executable Framework: Transform complex initiatives into clear, actionable strategies that teams can effortlessly understand and implement.

Aligning & Setting Expectations: Equip field teams with priorities, show how they support business goals, outline actions, explain their importance, and define success.

What You'll Do

  • Provides input and support for the overall sales channel plan for Cox Core & Wireless Launch throughout various phases, employee trial, soft launch, full market launch and sustainment/growth post-launch.
  • Sales Go To Market support for all Cox Broadband, Video & Mobile product enhancements, marketing initiatives, device launches (NPI) and promotions which require cross functional support with product, tools, technology, marketing and devices teams.
  • Drive Revenue Outcomes: Ensure that all initiatives and strategies are geared towards achieving favorable revenue outcomes.
  • North Star Messaging: Ensure the creation and visibility of a unified, cohesive message for the entire Sales & Service organization, fostering alignment and clarity across all communications and initiatives.
  • Field Advocates: Act as the voice of customer-facing teams, ensuring their needs are represented and accounted for during the shaping and defining of programs prior to launch.
  • Cox Program Management

    • Manage all programs with a focus of driving the Cox Mobile & Core Strategy
    • Boundary partner support for Retail, Service, COE, DSCC, Field Sales
    • Special projects and assignments
  • Recognized subject matter expert that represents Cox Mobile Sales & Service to executive team, boundary partners, vendors, and industry; drives change and alignment in a matrixed environment.
  • Support and create sales strategy requirements across customer mobile touchpoints to ensure an interactive and seamless shopping experience that aligns with customer journey map and agent experience.
  • Operationalize plan and drive deployment to reinvent sales experience and create a Cox Mobile sales culture; influence sales leadership to integrate wireless into existing sales channel strategy
  • This role will work with each sales & service channel, including sales operations, reporting, sales performance, marketing and product teams to create dynamic relationships and the ability to meet all corresponding revenue plans.
  • Strategic translation to various levels of the organization (using PPT, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Leading and translating Cox Mobile & Core strategies (roadmaps, strategy updates, changes, etc.)
  • Provides direction and guidance to cross-functional field resources to ensure appropriate execution of channel strategy
  • Develops project plans, timelines, and identifies key milestones to ensure successful project completion
  • Accountable for Revenue and PSU achievement for emerging product sales channels in coordination with field teams
  • Creates confidence in our ability to support and integrate new products into the sales channels
  • Partners with Finance and Marketing teams to plan for Sales OPEX associated with initiatives
  • Develops and administers components of sales plans and competitive strategies for the footprint's channel diversity strategy and efforts
  • Partners with Sales and Marketing teams to define and implement appropriate competitive strategy
  • Coordinates professional sales training to reflect changes in the services, product offerings, and market conditions

Who You Are

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Business Finance or Marketing, etc.) and 8 years' experience in a related field (Sales, Retention, or Call Centers) The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 6 years' experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience in a related field; or 12 years' experience in a related field
  • Strong negotiation skills and presentation ability
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, oral, written, communication and presentation skills
  • Data analysis and PC skills required; experience with MS Office products required.
  • Ability to create PPT slides and present in front of various levels of leadership teams
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and analyze strategic issues
  • Demonstrate ability to influence decisions in areas outside of direct control through collaboration and teamwork.
  • Highly developed ability to manage multiple projects and balance priorities in a fast-paced competitive market environment


Preferred

  • Relevant Wireless experience within the past 1-3 years
  • Prefer previous managerial experience in a sales discipline or alternate distribution channel; call center experience is a plus, B2B background a plus.


USD 108,800.00 - 181,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $108,800.00 - $181,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
