POSITION TITLE: Level I Technician, ISP

CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt

POSITION OVERVIEW:

ADB is seeking a Level I Technician, ISP, to provide entry level support of ISP (inside plant) copper and fiber cable installations on a variety of projects nationwide. This is a great position for anyone looking to get into the inside plant cabling space within the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will be customer and quality centric, have a complete buy-in to safety, with a strong work ethic, and ALL IN attitude to achieve results.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform entry-level fiber and copper cable installation including termination, assembly, and dressing to satisfy customer requirements
• Adding and removing non-powered cables and equipment following the scope of the project
• Provide crucial support to other ISP Technicians in the installation of basic pathways
• Accurately inventory and install various IT hardware including, but not limited to: backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures
• Constantly assess potential safety hazards and adherence to all ADB and customer safety expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This role will support ISP projects in a variety of customer facilities nationwide
• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like sitting, squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc. * May be exposed to uncomfortable or distracting sounds or noise levels while onsite
• When working on site, will be required to wear common protective of safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed boots

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

• 0-1 year of cable installation experience preferred (willing to train the right candidate)
• Man lift and CPR certification preferred (ability to obtain upon hire required)
• OSHA 10 preferred (ability to obtain upon hire required)
• High school diploma or equivalent required
