Overview:

METI is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to support our contract with the Weapons Survivability Laboratory (WSL). This individual will be responsible for researching, designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, and systems for commercial, industrial, military, and scientific applications. This role supports the WSL contract and involves performing engineering duties across various functions, including electrical, mechanical, design, test, and systems engineering, in connection with assigned products, processes, components, and systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties:



  • Design, develop, and test electrical instrumentation systems for military and industrial applications.
  • Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical equipment and components.
  • Conduct research and analysis to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement instrumentation solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, military specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, schematics, and documentation for engineering designs and test results.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.



Qualifications:



  • 3-10 years of relevant experience is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree within at least one of the following subjects: Electrical/Electronic engineer, Computer Engineer, Computer Science, Mechanical engineer, Physicist, or Systems Engineer. An *Associate's degree plus 6 years' additional work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with engineering functions such as electrical, mechanical, design, test, and systems engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools for design and testing.
  • Knowledge of military specifications and industry standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required.
