TRC is seeking a highly motivated Mid-Level to Senior Environmental Engineer/ Geologist/ Scientist to join our growing Engineering, Construction and Remediation team in our Center City Philadelphia office. The position requires a strong technical background in environmental remediation and a solid referenceable reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. The successful candidate will provide planning, investigation, and strategic support, primarily for New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and Pennsylvania Act 2 Land Recycling Program projects. The candidate must be familiar with processes, procedures, and regulations to provide senior-level leadership, deliverable preparation support and review for environmental evaluations, assessments, investigations, permitting, and remediations from project identification through completion. Also desired is demonstration of these qualities applied within large multi-disciplinary team(s).

The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing similar support for sites regulated by other state and federal programs and guiding and mentoring junior scientists/engineering staff in preparation of reports, interpreting regulations, and other facets of environmental consulting.

• Direct medium-to-large, complex projects to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality.
• Assist or direct proposal development including preparation of work scopes and budgets.
• Develop and track multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
• Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of deliverables related to projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels.
• Assist in training and mentoring of junior technical staff to facilitate growth.
• Write and review technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials.
• Have strong communications skills, both written and oral.
• Interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
• Interpret engineering, geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites to evaluate and design/optimize soil and groundwater remediation systems, including developing strategy, rationale and cost estimates.

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or chemical engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental science.
• 10-20 years of environmental compliance or remediation consulting or remediation design experience is preferred.
• NJDEP Licensed Site Remediation Professional in good standing
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania Act 2 Land Recycling Program
• Prefer demonstrated work experience in any of the following areas: environmental compliance, soil and groundwater investigations, and design and implementation of in-situ remediation technologies.
• Experience interfacing with storm water design and SWPPP/SPCC preparation is beneficial but not required.
• Prefer working knowledge of New Jersey and federal environmental regulations (RCRA, NPDES, ISRA, NCP, PHMSA, CERCLA/TRRP, etc.)

• Project management experience in budgeting, scheduling, procurement, coordination of teams of contractors, and client interactions.
• Technical project expertise in environmental investigations, remediation, and environmental compliance.
• Experience writing and reviewing technical documents, reports and engineering designs, ensuring quality and consistent delivery of materials
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current annual refresher

• Experience managing project tasks (field and office) and subcontractors.
• Ability to pass a company physical exam (indicating that there will be no restrictions for field activities or use of a full-face respirator).
• Valid driver's license without major violations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• S., M.Eng., or PhD. Degree in environmental, civil, or chemical engineering or Professional Geologist
• Experience managing and developing junior staff or project teams.
• Experience with large-scale database structures, procedures and management.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
