Watertown, SD - Hybrid/Remote

Join our team at Terex Utilities and embark on an exciting opportunity as we seek a skilled and dedicated Product Manager to contribute to the team in Watertown, SD.

As a Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading market share growth with new products and technology. You will be responsible to develop, execute and manage complete business plans by market (example: Public Power, Rental / Contractor, Investor-Owned Utilities, Tree Care & International).Your expectation will be to leverage innovation and technology to provide total life cycle solutions for equipment, parts and service.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and maintain product strategy and roadmap that supports NPD growth.
  • Perform regular market research and use this data to inform product decisions and ensure products remain competitive.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs by engaging with customers, dealers, and end users through direct visits and industry conferences.
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, design, and supply chain to ensure smooth execution of product development.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to enhance marketing programs that yield market share growth. Aid in the development of launch and communication collateral.
  • Lead product rationalization and reduce complexity with our offering.
  • Continuing education on new technology, features and benefits that yield innovation improvements. Leverage new technology to lead innovations in the electric utility market.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Marketing, or Communications.
  • A relevant degree is preferred, but equivalent experience may also be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Two years of progressively responsible experience in a Marketing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizations and networks to achieve results.
  • Must have knowledge to support market analysis, product development processes, marketing, product management and ability to lead cross functional teams.
  • Preference for technical product knowledge and other equipment manufacturing experience. Electrical utility industry experience preferred.
  • Must have skills in Project Management, Marketing and Communications, organizational networkingand computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and desktop publishing.
  • Ability to be self-guided and manager projects with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to travel roughly 50 percent of time.

*Preferred location of position is in Watertown, SD. Our team will consider remote candidates based on location that supports efficient and frequent travel to Watertown, SD.

Salary: The compensation range for this position is $105,000 - $136,000 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
