Job Description

The Product Management Consultant, Visa Access Platform in the Client Services division will be a member of the platform team that is responsible for shaping the platform's product strategies as well as the development and rollout of new Visa Online product capabilities.

Visa Access is the go-to platform for clients to do business with Visa - it provides secure access to important Visa content and services for our clients and Visa employees around the world.

This position is based in Foster City campus and will report to the Director of Product, Visa Access. This individual will work as part of the team that leads the strategy, development, rollout, and ongoing management of the Visa Access platform and all supported services. They will work primarily with other Client Services teams, but they will also collaborate with legal, finance, IT, and other functional areas.

Our product managers are highly visible agile leaders, building bridges across Visa to ensure products are effectively developed, integrated, and deployed with quality and on time into our production systems.

A strong candidate will have a solid experience in product management, agile SDLC, cross-functional team leadership, as well as superb skills in communications, business analysis, problem-solving, coordination, process excellence, and change management. The ideal candidate ensures things get done with customer first mindset. The ideal candidate must have a 'make it happen humanely' attitude.

Essential Functions

Product Development:

  • Define and prioritize product features and requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to deliver product features.
  • Conduct user research and gather customer feedback to inform product decisions.
  • Work with Visa Access product, CIT, CS leadership to develop product roadmaps which align to business objectives stacked by priority and resource availability.
  • Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define scope, create estimates, develop budgets, and produce documentation needed for product development.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate product vision and updates to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide timely and accurate status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead and utilize soft skills to influence participants of all levels towards the common goal.

Market Analysis:

  • Analyze market trends and competitor products.
  • Identify opportunities for product differentiation.
  • Create new business frameworks for helping Visa to penetrate new client segments in countries across the globe by changing Visa Access capabilities.

Roadmap Planning:

  • Develop and maintain the product roadmap.
  • Ensure alignment with business goals and customer needs.

Performance Metrics:

  • Monitor product performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Make data-driven decisions to improve the product.
  • Demonstrate measurable impact on business growth and customer success.

Agile Processes:

  • Drive improvement in overall efficiency and reliability of agile product development.
  • Adopt agile processes with a constant improvement mindset.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by 4-5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a product management-related occupation.
  • Efficient management of relationships with stakeholders.
  • Skilled in data analysis and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Conducting thorough product testing.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and adept at problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies is advantageous.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, followed by 7 years of work experience in a product management-related occupation.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Experience in the technology or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successful product launches.
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 138,500.00 to 200,700.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
