If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join the Erie Community Center as our Building Attendant! In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential custodial and maintenance duties, ensuring that our community spaces at the Erie Community Center, the Erie Community Park, Coal Creek Cafe and the Ballpark at Erie remain clean, functional, and welcoming for all patrons. All staff are expected to adhere to the Town's mission, vision and values of TRUE. ANTICIPATED WORK SCHEDULE:
Part-time could also include early mornings, nights, and weekends as needed; not to exceed 130 hours/month on average. Schedule may vary depending on program specific needs. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Knowledge of: To perform this job successfully, an individual must demonstrate exceptional leadership and communication skills and must possess expert knowledge of the principles, practices, trends and methods of recreational operations and programming in a community setting. Knowledge of guidelines and regulations related to Department, Town, County, State, and Federal policies and procedures also required. Skills in: Initiative and decision-making; verbal and written communication; supervision, leadership, and interpersonal relationships; basic financial methods of recreational programming; outstanding customer service to a diverse population; administrative functions; time management, meeting deadlines, responding to internal and external requests in a timely manner; the use of standard office equipment, computers, and various software programs; positive and professional working relationships with all Town staff and the community; conflict resolution; handling controversial issues; comprehending instruction, correspondence, and policies and procedures; problem solving; remaining composed in emergency situations and working effectively under stressful circumstances; performing CPR, First Aid, and AED to level of certification. Environmental Factors: Work is performed inside and outside a standard recreational facility environment. Work can include driving. Work may involve competing demands and performing multiple tasks. Physical Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift boxes and rental equipment of 50lbs or more.
