Sibley Memorial Hospital is a non-profit, full service 318 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopaedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley's campus, with its new patient tower, is also home to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, the Johns Hopkins National Proton Therapy Center, Grand Oaks -- an assisted living residence -- a medical building with physician offices and an ambulatory surgery and imaging center.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced oncology nurse manager that will oversee the Oncology Clinic, Infusion Center & Practice. The Nurse Manager is accountable for assessing, planning, directing and evaluating nursing care, medical oncology office practice and day-to-day unit and infusion center operations. The Manager assures adherence to Sibley Memorial Hospital policies and procedures and supports and fosters the Sibley Memorial Hospital mission and vision. The Nurse Manager is responsible for the quality of care provided to patients and the processes that lead to continuous performance improvement. His/Her role includes clinical practice, medical oncology clinical and non- clinical staff, staff development and continuing education, management and leadership, consultation and support. The manager works with members of administration, physicians and other members of the multi-disciplinary staff to assure that lines of communication are open and processes for quality patient care and problem resolution are in place. The manager will demonstrate leadership through activities at the strategic and operational level that achieve financial goals and foster program development for cancer services at Sibley.

What You Bring:




  • Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing Required. Graduate Degree in Nursing Preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of nursing leadership experience in hospital a hospital based ambulatory setting.
  • Out-patient oncology experience required.
  • Certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse required; may earn certification within 9 months of accepting the position.
  • Must have leadership experience and demonstrated abilities to lead teams.
  • Knowledge of leadership principles and demonstrated skills in area of practice.
  • Current CPR Certification required.

Salary Range: Minimum 64.54 per hour - Maximum 100.04 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
