PAY: $90,000 - $132,000

JOB SUMMARY: Provides technical writing expertise in support of the 17th Test and Evaluation Squadron and other locations as required. Review test and evaluation test planning and reporting documents and briefings to ensure proper format, grammar, and style are uniformly applied. Location: Schriever SFB, CO.

PRIMARY DUTIES:



  • Work with test teams to review test and evaluation documents and briefings and identify corrections related to spelling, grammar, sentence structure, and written organization.
  • Review higher headquarters instructions for written communication guidance and apply to documents under review.
  • Assist government personnel with updating guidance for reports, briefings, instruction manuals, and template files in order to provide guidance to unit members on the creation and staffing of written communication and presentations.
  • Attend program review meetings and provide inputs to document authors regarding corrections to be incorporated prior completing further document coordination.
  • Assist the test teams with interpreting document and briefing guidance in order to improve writing and coordination timelines required to obtain unit leadership approval.
  • Provide continuity of knowledge to facilitate document and briefing creation and coordination for test and evaluation planning and reporting products.
  • Must possess good reading skills with acute attention to details while reviewing documents and briefings.
  • Due to the broad nature of documents to be reviewed, comprehensive understanding of the subject material or corrective recommendations to the document's technical content is not required.



REQUIREMENTS: 5 years of technical writing or technical document review experience is required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Previous experience as a technical writer with responsibility for identifying and correcting format, grammar, style.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of DOD and USAF written communication products and styles



RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: 5 years of technical writing or technical document review experience is required.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelors Degree in English, Communication, or other related field. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI.
