Summary:

The Senior Manager, Customer Reference Program plays a strategic role in shaping Ansys' global brand narrative by identifying, developing, and amplifying compelling customer success stories. These stories will power Ansys' marketing, communications, investor relations, and sales initiatives, driving brand affinity and business impact.

As a senior individual contributor within the Global Customer Reference Management (GCRM) team-part of the Corporate Communications department-this role requires a seasoned professional with strong business acumen, executive presence, and the ability to influence at all organizational levels. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, solution-oriented communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment, expertly managing multiple projects while delivering high-quality results.

In addition to owning high-impact initiatives, the Senior Manager will mentor and guide junior team members, fostering professional growth and elevating team capabilities through shared expertise. This is a customer-facing role that involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and product teams, as well as external customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, proactively identifying customer advocacy opportunities that support marketing campaigns, PR efforts, sales enablement, and executive communications.
  • Lead the end-to-end development of customer success stories, including case studies, videos, blogs, and testimonials, ensuring alignment with Ansys' strategic priorities and brand voice.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with customers, serving as their primary point of contact for storytelling initiatives while ensuring a positive experience throughout the engagement.
  • Craft strategic communications proposals that showcase joint storytelling benefits with Ansys. Engage directly with customer executives to secure testimonials and recommend the most effective formats.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate customer content across channels, maximizing reach and impact.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, sharing best practices, providing feedback, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Represent Ansys at customer meetings, on-site video shoots, sales conferences, quarterly business reviews (QBRs), and industry events.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Technology, or a related field
  • Strong customer service mindset with a proactive approach to engagement
  • Proven project and program management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time during conferences, events and customer shoots
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
  • Sense of urgency and ability to execute with speed and efficiency
  • Team player with the ability to work across diverse cultures and time zones

  • Willingness to travel for customer engagements and video productions around 25-50%





Preferred Qualifications:



  • 10-15+ years of relevant experience in customer references, storytelling, sales, public relations, or marketing
  • Experience in B2B technology communications/marketing
  • Strong ability to influence without direct authority while holding stakeholders accountable
  • Background in public relations (PR) or agency experience is a plus
