JOB SUMMARY: This position manages the implementation of a variety of capital projects, performs technical reviews of engineering design; prepares plans and specifications for capital projects; recommends hiring and manages consultants and the associated professional agreements to provide project design and construction services; manages and directs contractors on an array of capital improvements projects. Provides technical assistance to support all divisions within Public Works and works with other management personnel to plan, evaluate, and assist in the development and administration of projects and programs. This role will have a strong work ethic and will need to effectively and clearly communicate to a full range of people. We are looking for a team member capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects within the department and the ability to problem solve efficiently. JOB DUTIES: 1. Manages, directs, and supervises Village construction projects, often multi-million dollar valued projects, including but not limited to concrete and bituminous roadway reconstruction, bridge replacement and rehabilitation, box culvert replacement, water main, street lighting, utility, and bike path projects, utilizing Village, State and Federal Funding. Manages, directs, and grants approval to contractors concerning their scheduling operations; coordinates all utility relocations with the various utility companies to ensure their facility relocations are completed before construction. QUALIFICATIONS: STARTING SALARY RANGE: $90,321.00 - $100,483.00annually dependent on qualifications.The salary range for this position is $90,321.00 -$130,966.00.
