Staff Development Manager

Provo Canyon School, a private behavioral health/psychiatric residential treatment center, is seeking an experienced Staff Development (Student Life) Training Manager. The school is seeking those with extensive experience working in a behavioral health residential setting and a proven strength and passion for developing and delivering high-quality professional development, coaching and training opportunities to staff at all levels of the Facility.

Status: Full-time (40 hrs per week) Schedule may vary based on staff training needs

Salary Range: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour based on education & years of training experience

Your role and responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain a system of training and development that ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory entities
• Coordinate all training related activities and present training to all employees in company policies and procedures, new hire orientation, core philosophies, first aid, CPR, safety & emergency procedures, verbal de-escalation, physical interventions, etc.
• Work closely with Directors, HR and Risk Manager to identify training and professional development needs.
• Provide on-site training and education regarding policy and procedural changes to staff at all levels
• Evaluate individual skill competency and needs, works with the Program Director to develop a leadership training system to help staff advance in position and responsibilities.

Your Qualifications and Skills will include:

• High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age (no exceptions) and able to pass criminal history background check and drug screen
• Extensive experience working in a behavioral health treatment setting; preferrably long term residential treatment settings
• Demonstrated experience with staff education, professional development and coaching and the ability to evaluate employee competency & needs.
