Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Insurance Operations, you will oversee one or more support responsibilities for an insurance operations area or LOB. You will provide oversight of processes and system improvements that improve the quality and productivity of our business operations. As Director, you will also provide technical expertise that improve the efficiency of our assigned operational areas or LOBs.

Position Compensation Range:

$128,000.00 - $216,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Primary Accountabilities


  • You will create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by facilitating and encouraging trust, transparency, and inclusion. Work with team members to set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development.
  • Lead with influence and expertise. Contribute to division or department leadership team. Communicate and support organization mission, vision, values and policies.
  • Direct departments for setting operational strategies and efficient standards and processes with an emphasis on continuous improvement, compliance, and gaining efficiencies to achieve desired operational results.
  • Work with department leadership to support our organization's profit and growth goals.
  • Provide direction for management of our operations position and involvement in the strategic departments to ensure holistic view and understanding of state specific environments and results.
  • You may work with corporate underwriting or other division leadership to establish the underwriting philosophy and guidelines.
  • Provide direction in setting divisional procedures and establishing audit functions to support regional operations and services.
  • Develop operational metrics functions to aide in decision-making and achieve desired operational results.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements


  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
  • Demonstrated effective leadership and project management experience.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of market research and marketplace trends in product line coverage in area of specialty.
  • Knowledge of insurance product design and pricing in area of specialty.
  • Extensive insurance operations experience.
  • Operations experience in area of specialty.
  • Solid knowledge of financial planning and analysis techniques and tools.

  • Up to 25%.

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home, proximate to one of our office locations (within approximately 35-50 miles). On occasion you may be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events. #LI-Remote
