THE JOB: An Executive Meeting Services Manager is the key point of contact for smaller convention groups. This position is responsible forobtaining rooming lists, transportation, meeting room coordination and coordinating with billing and credit. The goal is to create agreat experience for our convention attendees. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Work independently and without supervision to ensure that all program requirements and client requests are met to the highest standards
- Collaborate directly with clients and internal departments to coordinate various functions, including transportation, guest accommodations, meetings, pre-planning, limousine services, amenities, site inspections, billing, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and room diagrams
- Serve as the primary communication link between clients and all property departments, both during the pre-planning phase and on-site
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with all support departments to guarantee a successful event for our customers
- Take accountability for the overall success of multiple conventions simultaneously
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- One (1) year of experience in a Hotel or Convention services department
- Experience with Microsoft Suite, Opera, Amadaus, and Delphi preferred
- Knowledgeable of Front Desk and/or Convention Reservations procedures
- Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with all stakeholders
