About Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort Join the team at this vibrant, retro hotel inspired by iconic Florida beach resorts of the 1950s and 60s. Someone who has a thorough understanding of hotel mechanical and building systems Is a skilled leader and communicator Focuses on problem solving Priorities the safety of our guests and team members Enjoys providing a high level of service in both the front and back of the house
What You Will Do:
Manage the engineering department staff by hiring, training, observing and coaching Establish daily work assignments, and direct flow of same to completion Review all completed work orders, and inspect completed work as needed to ensure accuracy and quality Assist completion to standard of all required preventive maintenance operations Provide support to all department heads in handling any unusual maintenance related guest complaints Provide technical guidance and oversight to all engineering department staff on a daily basis Ensure maintenance shop adherence to cleanliness and safety standards Assist Director of Engineering in monitoring energy consumption, maintaining equipment and supply inventories Perform periodic inspections of all property assets to ensure maintenance to standard Establish and ensure adherence to all department and Loews Hotels guidelines, policies and procedures Other duties as assigned
Your Experience Includes: Required:
2 to 5 years at a Supervisory level within in a Hospitality environment Working knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Refrigeration and Life Safety, Energy Management operating system Ability work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays Knowledge of OSHA regulations, equipment operation and maintenance, record-keeping systems Effective leadership, organizational and communication skills
Preferred
Knowledge of computer-based management systems such as: HotSOS, transcendent, ADACO and OPER Prior experience as a Chief or Director of Engineering Bi-lingual language skills
