Job Description:

Overview: As a Value Stream Leader, you will be a key driver in optimizing our production processes, ensuring efficiency and maximizing value for our customers. This leadership role involves overseeing the end-to-end manufacturing process, from raw materials to finished products, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

Value Stream Management:

  • Take ownership of the entire manufacturing value stream, overseeing all processes from raw material acquisition to product delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize value stream efficiency, reduce lead times, and enhance overall productivity.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing value stream.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to achieve operational excellence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to ensure seamless coordination within the value stream.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration to address challenges and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the value stream and regularly monitor and report on performance metrics.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team within the value stream.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and individual growth.
  • Provide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that products meet or exceed established quality standards.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures within the value stream.

Resource Optimization:

  • Manage resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production demands.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure a stable and cost-effective supply chain.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development of long-term manufacturing strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify opportunities for capacity expansion and improvements in manufacturing technology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field with 7-9 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role within manufacturing, with a focus on value stream management.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve operational excellence.

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
