As a Senior Procurement Specialist, your role will involve sourcing equipment, goods, and services, as well as managing vendors. You will be responsible for performing strategic procurement activities across various spending categories, aiming to find better deals and more profitable suppliers.

Responsibilities include:



  • Review and complete Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) submitted by the field managers.
  • Manage bids received and forward them on to field managers.
  • Perform updates to the RFQ and RFP templates.
  • Ensure compliance on all Purchase Orders/Change Orders required by the company Procurement Policies.
  • Review bids from vendors and subcontractors and assure accuracy, compliance and value.
  • Support government (e.g., DCMA, DCAA, etc.) inquiries related to Procurement documentation/processes and assist in the preparation of Government-conducted Contractor Purchasing System Reviews (CPSRs) and, as directed, take appropriate steps to ensure that the company maintains an "approved" Purchasing System rating.
  • Complete Credit applications.
  • Work with vendors personnel and maintain relations with them on an ongoing basis to establish strong and reliable partnerships.
  • Solve vendor issues.
  • Assure that Government Reps and Certs are completed by vendors.
  • Perform data entry for processing PO's/CO's in the company's accounting software.
  • Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
  • Other duties as assigned.



Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Knowledge of equipment, environmental remediation and construction.
  • Experience in government procurement.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
  • Ability to learn new software.
  • Knowledgeable of insurance requirements and Certificates of Insurance.
  • Basic knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)/ Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)/ and other agency FAR supplements.
