ReNuke Services is seeking a Technical Specialist III to support our client"s site in Salem, SC!
Description:
This is onsite with some flexibility for remote days dependent on the candidate and status of training/skills.
*Base location can be flexible across hydro west plants in NC/SC. Alternatives include Tuckasegee, NC 28783 or Newport, NC 37821*
Will be required to drive their personal vehicle with mileage reimbursed.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* This role Project Integration Lead (PIL) is to support the Hydro West project teams with project integration and configuration management. The PIL will ensure the project integration phase meets and/or exceeds the project objectives on safety, environmental, regulatory compliance, scope.
* The PIL must be capable of communicating and coordinating with various work groups,
including contractors, to achieve project objectives.
* It is not expected for the PIL to know all technical information, but it is expected for them to be able to coordinate collection and documentation of information with the help and support of the technical team:
o Coordinate list of equipment requiring labels and signage, then make and install these labels.
o Coordinate with operations to update LOTO database then ensures correct numbers from this coordination are shown on drawings and procedures.
o Coordinate with operations and technical team to update processes that were impacted by project.
o Coordinate with operations and technical team to update safety plans that were impacted by project.
o Coordinate with operations and technical team to update spare part listings that were impacted by the project.
o Coordinate with operations and technical team to update equipment and alarm databases and lists that were impacted by the project.
o Help PM track and gather information needed to be entered into NERC checklists and subsequent resulting actions.
o Coordinate with PM and operations to setup any vendor supplied training required from project changes.
o Coordinate with PM and operations to update vendor maintenance programs/plans.
o Coordinate with PM and operations to obsolete inventory no longer required.
o Coordinate with PM and operations for all other project integration needs.
* The PIL will be responsible for managing documents created during projects. This requires:
o Coordination with contract engineers to ensure compliance with operation needs and Duke document management rules and processes during design phase.
o Support obtaining red line drawings during and after construction.
o Coordinating drafting to pick up redlines.
o Obtain checker/approver of final as built drawings.
o Issue as built drawings in document storage system including completing a spreadsheet of criteria used to issue drawings.
o Ensure all vendor supplied manuals, technical documents and training material are captured in online configuration management and storage tools.
o Printing hard copy sets of as built drawings, vendor supplied manuals, technical documents and training material and bringing to plants.
o Support configuration management tool, ACT.
Working Conditions:
* The PIL role is ~15% field work with the remainder in an office environment.
* The field work will be in active powerplants or construction sites. These sites include exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and humidity. May be required to climb ladders, stairs, and work platforms at various height for drawing walk downs.
* Base work schedule is 4-10"s with overtime as needed to support project execution.
* Regularly required to sit, talk, hear, use and reach with hands, arms and fingers. Must be able to read, comprehend, inspect, calculate, count, retain and make sound decisions.
