Job Duties:

• 
  

  Act as discipline key task lead and coordinate with staff to ensure ongoing communications and quality deliverables

  
  

• 
  

  Meet project deliverable schedules and budgets for assigned projects

  
  

• 
  

  Monitor labor budgets and schedules for assigned tasks/projects

  
  

• 
  

  Support marketing and business development initiatives

  
  

• 
  

  Engage with clients, ensuring excellent and professional interactions

  
  

• 
  

  Oversee the development of highway projects in OpenRoads and Civil 3D

  
  

• 
  

  Work collaboratively with the design team to develop detailed design documents for preliminary, right-of-way, and construction plans

  
  

• 
  

  Independently evaluate, compile and compute a variety of engineering data

  
  

• 
  

  Perform detailed calculations related to roadway geometry design, roadside safety design and other highway/site civil design elements

  
  

• 
  

  Oversee the training and mentorship of junior staff

  
  

• 
  

  Must have the ability to work on multiple unique assignments simultaneously

  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  

  A degree in civil engineering.

  
  

• 
  

  15+ years of highway design experience, including roadway drainage/grading and traffic engineering.

  
  

• 
  

  Experience in maintenance and protection of traffic.

  
  

• 
  

  A Massachusetts and/or Connecticut PE license preferred (reciprocity accepted).

  
  

• 
  

  Proven experience in managing people and projects.

  
  

• 
  

  Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

  
  

• 
  

  Familiarity with Massachusetts and/or Connecticut Department of Transportation standards and procedures.

  
  

• 
  

  Proficiency with MicroStation and Open Roads; AutoCAD and Civil 3D

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance.

The expected salary for this position is $147,000 - $180,000.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
