Our growing business is in need of a Tax Specialist to join our Finance team at our Corporate office in Fort Worth, Texas. The Tax Specialist manages indirect tax compliance for TTI, Inc. including the preparation of monthly book and tax depreciation, business licenses, unclaimed property, and property tax reports. The Tax Specialist will prepare monthly accounting entries and reconciliations for responsible areas. The Tax Specialist will remain current on assigned work areas through research and by monitoring information as received from taxing jurisdictions and outside professional firms. The Tax Specialist will assist the sales tax team as needed.

Our Tax Specialists:



  • Assist with federal and state income tax compliance reporting requirements as assigned.
  • Prepare and file business licenses and registrations identifying action items needed for completion. Work closely with Facilities to ensure all location requirements are kept current.
  • Maintain the Unclaimed Property Software and prepare timely due diligence and reports. Reconcile the Unclaimed Property account quarterly.
  • Maintain the global Fixed Asset Software and prepare monthly book depreciation expense, annual tax depreciation (both regular, state, and AMT) and provide fixed asset reports for property tax compliance and to other departments as requested. Prepare quarterly book to tax reports for provision calculation. Prepare annually all workpapers required to support the US federal tax return. Provide support to global teams also using the software.
  • Assist Tax Director and Tax Managers on special projects as assigned.
  • Record the monthly corporate jet flight information for the annual SIFL calculation and prepare associated accounting entries.
  • Prepare property tax renditions for local US branches, pay bills as received, and reconcile the property tax payable account.
  • Stay up to date on federal, state, and local tax laws, including tax rate changes, new reporting requirements, or regulatory updates that might impact compliance.
  • Assist with external or internal audits by gathering documentation, responding to tax authority inquiries, and reconciling tax liabilities.
  • Monitor global charitable contributions to ensure proper documentation is received and identify and correct any incorrect entries that come through the expense account.
  • Provide support for the sales tax team as assigned.


Education and Experience Requirements:



  • High School Diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree a plus.
  • 5+ years' experience working in an accounting field or similar is required.
