SUMMARY:

The Manager of Medication Systems and Operations oversees all inpatient and outpatient pharmacy robotics and automation systems. This position evaluates pharmacy workflows and procedures to identify and lead opportunities for improved safety and efficiency. This position provides oversight and support for a team that provides systemwide support for third party automation and dispensing systems, including automated dispensing cabinets, vial filling robots, and carousels.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency in Pharmacy.
  • Must have at least six years of hospital pharmacy supervisory experience and/or related experience to assure a meaningful understanding of all operational aspects of the pharmacy department including purchasing, inventory control, inpatient pharmacy operations, outpatient clinic drug use, outpatient prescription pharmacy operations, drug file structure and file maintenance, and patient profile databases for all pharmacy systems.
  • Fully licensed as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia, or eligible for licensure within 120 days through reciprocity or exam.
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of Pharmacy Information System database maintenance, including familiarity with the management of Pyxis systems and information system management, in general.
  • Demonstrate significant knowledge of all applicable systems as assigned and knowledge of database maintenance and control principles. Able to handle multiple assignments, work flexible hours and communicate with technical personnel, and end users in a positive manner.
