What you'll do: The Communications Coordinator supports the Bank's internal and external communications team targeting the Bank's members, its employees, and other external audiences including through social media. This position is a visible role so a successful candidate must exhibit a high level of professionalism and be a steward of the Bank's mission, vision, and corporate brand. How you'll make an impact: Delivering daily administrative support to a cross-functional team through research, maintenance of accounts, tracker updates and reporting Creating meaningful written, editorial, graphic design, creative, social, and visual content to show the value of the FHLBank Chicago for its members and their communities. What you can expect: Support communications managers on the execution of the strategic goals of the communications department Maintain online brand store, branded inventory, team calendars, team reports - ensuring timely updates to Group and Bank wide, capture stats as needed for quarterly reporting and required metrics Partner with internal business unit stakeholders to successfully execute the business unit's internal communications content and social media initiatives Create content for web site, digital and social distribution channels, graphic design support Support the Bank's member events by managing the Bank's events calendar and generating social media content Contribute to the production of marketing communications materials, presentations, and publications Assist in the implementation of internal employee engagement campaigns, in-office screens, building surveys and on-site all staff meetings and calls Other tasks as assigned What you'll bring: 1-2 years experience in communications, public relations, social media, marketing, or related field Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or other Business discipline from an accredited college or university or 1-3 years of equivalent experience Demonstrated knowledge and execution of internal and external communications, writing, editing Social media acumen Content management system and html email marketing program experience a plus Ability to drive creative solutions and deliver results in a fast-paced environment Capacity to develop relationships with business unit stakeholders and communications managers Highly organized and excellent project management skills; flexibility to manage multiple projects Excellent communications skills with strong writing and content development skills Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite products preferred (Photoshop and InDesign) Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Visio) The perks: At FHLBank Chicago, we believe in rewarding our high performing workforce.
