The Dean of Students team serves as your primary advocates. We provide timely support through a variety of programs, including crisis management, conflict resolution, emergency response.

Job Overview

The Program Manager for Residential Services CARE Team supports the Associate Dean of Students in handling Residence Hall student cases referred to the CARE Team. As an essential member of the Student Affairs CARE Team, the Program Manager provides comprehensive support to students in crisis, requiring emergency and case management services. This role involves collaboration with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Resident Education and Development, and community resources to assist residential students. This full-time, 12-month position is based in the Dean of Students Office, with responsibilities that may evolve to meet changing departmental needs.

Essential Functions

* Assist the Associate Dean of Students manage services and resources to residential students in crisis

* Assist the Associate Dean of Students in coordinating training and education with academic and other campus partners to establish positive relationships

* Communicate with Associate Dean of Students about needs and resources for residential students in crisis

* Coordinate, train, and educate residential staff on trends and strategies to serve students.

* Coordinate student learning and engagement opportunities outside of academic setting

* Work closely with the Associate Dean of Students in maintaining Maxient system, a student database tracking students in crisis

* Conduct assessment measures to collect data to ensure efficient and ongoing evaluation of the CARE Team and crisis response in the residential community.

Required Education

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience

Additional Qualifications Considered

* Master's degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, Education, Social Work, or a related field.

* 1-2 years of experience working with students in a college/university setting, preferably within residence hall communities.

* Experience in residence life and student activities.

* Strong public speaking and presentation skills.

* Exceptional organizational abilities.

* Excellent administrative skills.

* Proficient written and oral communication skills.
