Production Associates are responsible for manufacturing products in accordance with quality standards. They work on a production line and may operate machinery to cut, bend, or shape materials as well as pack finished goods. Production Associates also ensure adherence to safety protocols and sanitation procedures. Responsibilities Operate equipment to cut, bend, form, or stamp metal parts and other materials Maintain records of inventory and production Monitor product quality and report defects Adhere to safety protocols and wear protective gear Collaborate with team members to coordinate production activities Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting process enhancements and cost reductions Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently and up to 100 pounds occasionally Flexibility to work in various positions, including standing, sitting, and lifting Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures Experience working in a fast-paced production environment preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with others Problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new techniques Adaptability to changing circumstances and priorities At Sonoco Products Company, we offer a comprehensive total rewards package, including competitive pay and benefits.
