The candidate selected will be responsible for planning and supervising the accounting functions and maintaining accurate financial records and internal controls. Salary: $75,000 per year

1st Shift Hours: 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday-Friday

Essential Functions:



  • Coordinates the financial affairs of the association while analyzing the effectiveness of the association's financial systems and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, budgets, records, and reports.
  • Routinely communicates with and provides information as requested by the Executive Vice President, Chairman of the Finance Committee, or other members of the Executive Council to maintain control and accountability of district budgets.
  • Assist in planning, analyzing, and reviewing financial matters.
  • Documentation of monies, verification and organization of accounting reports, processing of deposits, and the receipt and research of credit card sales.
  • Overall management of magazine advertising and classified advertising billing.
  • Assist in other departments as needed.
  • Participate in training, special projects, and staff development activities.

Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (CPA preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting, preparing financial reports, analysis, forecasting, and budgets. (Nonprofit accounting and prior experience with trust accounts with a working knowledge of nonprofit treasury items such as receivables, advances, and revenue a plus).
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, project management, multi-tasking, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of office systems (Microsoft Office including Excel and Teams) and database management systems (MIP preferred and local area networks).
