Job Summary

Under the direction of the Systems Integration Manager, the SI Intern will assist in the designing, testing, and troubleshooting of developmental and production electro-mechanical equipment and systems. Maintain and monitor controls hardware/software and configurations to provide support to manufacturing. Assist the SI team in implementing and testing new technologies.

Job Responsibilities

* Work with controls and automation equipment, focusing on PLC's

* Troubleshoot, repair and maintain the organization's manufacturing electronic equipment.

* Design, program, test and install control equipment for production use

* Work within data acquisition and reporting software to create and manage reports

* Interface with manufacturing to provide support for controls-related hardware and software. This may include industrial controls and networks.

* Assist with documenting standard equipment and practices

* Perform other related duties as require

Job Qualifications

Education

* Must be a student currently enrolled in an Associate/Bachelor Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering program

* Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

* U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance and site SSA requirements

Formal Qualifications

* MUST BE U.S CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in a Manufacturing or Factory Environment is preferred

* Aerospace experience preferred

* Microsoft SQL (queries & Database management) and reporting experience are preferred

* Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and/or robotics is a plus.

* Must be able to use test and measurement equipment, read schematics, and technical manuals. Understand local area networks in a TCP/IP environment.

* Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills required.

* Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.

* Strong computer skills desired.

* Demonstrates acceptance of responsibility

* Shows pride in work performed

* Demonstrates flexibility in acceptance of assignments and schedules

* Maintains professional behavior and appearance

Physical Requirements:

* Must be able to work in a production environment and travel throughout the facilities and corporation to obtain information needed to perform job functions.

* Prolonged sitting and computer use, and have the ability to move around a manufacturing environment.

* Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds: Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 25 pounds
