Position Summary:

The Armorer is responsible for assisting and supporting the Armorer Supervisor daily with logistics related to accountability, maintenance and support of all SEC/Academy firearms, parts, tools, and ammunition. Primary responsibilities include executing the maintenance program for SEC rental firearms including lifecycle, factory recommended, return to depot maintenance and ammunition support. Will also require frequent staffing and support of central issue facility.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test SEC and Academy firearms in accordance with applicable armorer/operator manuals.
  • Assist as required, SEC sales staff with installation of accessories on customer purchases.
  • Assists with firearms and ammunition accountability as required.
  • Conducts cycle counts based on daily, monthly, and annual requirements.
  • Provide logistical support for large events and contracts as directed.
  • Organize and prepare armorer and shooter field kits.
  • Executes other duties as assigned.


Education/Experience & Skills:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus 1-3 years of professional work experience in a role requiring a high level of detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required, experience working with Oracle is a plus.
  • Professional Armorer experience with all SIG Sauer firearm platforms preferred.
  • Must have a high degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multi-task while meeting needs of a rapidly changing environment.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed


Working Conditions:



  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
  • Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
  • Must be able to follow established policies and procedures, and work with limited direct direction supervision.
  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
