Job Summary: Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor and or Maintenance Manager will follow all established procedures and policies while producing a product that meets or exceeds available standards while prioritizing safety, quality and efficiency to meet the goals of the company.

This is for a 1st shift position, Sunday, Monday off. Tuesday- Saturday 6AM- 2:30PM- Days off and hours of work are subject to change according to production needs.

Job Responsibilities



  • Primary responsibility as plant mechanic
  • Responsibility WWTP/ whey hauling covering days off.
  • Give Daily Reports to Manager or Supervisor
  • Must have and maintain a CDL A with Tanker Endorsement and be DOT certified according to company policy.
  • Preform preventive maintenance programs.
  • General Maintenance to include but not limited to, painting, building repairs, pluming, minor electrical work, and cleaning area.
  • This job also includes meter readings, taking, testing and shipping required samples according to operating procedures.
  • Will be responsible for the general environment and grounds of WWTP as well as grounds behind the plant which will include mowing and snow removal.
  • Must be confined space, respirator, and CPR trained.
  • Will need to give direction to outside vendors/contractors.
  • Responsible for inventory of parts of assigned area.
  • Must complete jobs as requested by any supervisor or lead in charge
  • Must pass pulmonary functions test and pass and maintain respirator fit test annually.
  • Any other duties assigned.



Job Qualifications:



  • GED or High School Education
  • Must Have and Maintain a CDL A with Tanker Endorsement (Will help acquire endorsement but must have CDL A)
  • At least 3 years experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (ie. Word, Exel, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting experience
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Multi-task Individual
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision

SQF Requirements / Responsibilities



  • Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action
