Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting aerospace components to ensure they meet all necessary specifications and standards. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, evaluation of test results and to document findings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and quality assurance protocols.

Job Responsibilities

* Preform receiving, in process and Final inspection to ensure product conformance to customer specifications.

* Conduct supplier self-release activities in accordance with customer and industry requirements.

* Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges to ensure accurate measurements.

* Interpret and follow quality control standards, blueprints, technical documents, and specifications.

* Work with engineers and other technical staff to identify and solve quality-related issues.

* Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and quality records.

* Conduct part weighing and mark in accordance with requirements.

* Package shipments in line with customer specification.

* Arrange shipping and transpiration of products.

* Interface with customer portals to input and extract information.

* Review and interpret supplier test results and process certifications.

* Become proficient with industry software. Ie. SAP & LN.

* All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in aerospace inspection or a related field preferred

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in inspection role or minimum 5 years in manufacturing role

* Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs

* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

* An effective communicator and an influential team member

* Must be able to obtain SAE Designated Product Release Verification (DPRV) certification along with all applicable customer certification for product release.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Certification in quality management (e.g., CQI, CQT).

* Experience with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing principles.

* Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and other quality improvement methodologies.

* Knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, AS13100)
