OVERVIEW
The Operational Finance Manager is the business partner to the Plant General Manager. This role will direct the financial activity at the Plant to drive proactive decision making, optimize results and elevate performance levels, in addition to identifying, driving and supporting process improvements throughout the site. In this role you will prepare timely and accurate reporting in full compliance with GAAP and other regulatory and company policies.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead plant monthly close processes, which include accruals, purchase orders outstanding, cost reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis and presentation slides
- Lead cost reviews with operations leadership team, analyze variances and support actions to drive improvement of results
- Lead the plant through zero-based budgeting initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity
- Ensure accurate standard costing and clear understanding of product profitability
- Provide financial decision support (e.g. operations decision support, CAPEX decision support, cost control) to Plant operations management to maximize the profitability and use of company assets
- Use critical thinking and analysis skills to drive and lead change, providing tangible recommendations to improve profitability and aid decision making
- Provide regular reviews with the Plant General Manager of all critical initiatives that support the achievement of the current year's budget, strategic objectives, and improve profitability
- Support Plant continuous improvement initiatives, CAPEX projects by providing and validating financial data in an objective manner
WORK EXPERIENCES
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience
- FP&A experience in operations strongly preferred
- Controller experience preferred
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting related field
- CPA or equivalent designation
- MBA or Engineering degree a plus

LOCATION OF ROLE
SALARY PAY RANGE: $94,000 - $174,000 plus bonus
The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
