Position Overview:
The Global Payroll Manager, is responsible for overseeing timely and accurate payroll processing, payroll tax compliance, employee garnishments, expense reporting, and commission processing. This role ensures the payroll team delivers quality and timely output while developing their professional capabilities. As the subject matter expert (SME) for SaaS payroll systems-including ADP (HRIS), Concur (expense reporting), and Xactly (sales commission tool)-the Payroll Manager will drive process improvements, compliance, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across North America, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Supervise payroll tax reporting, payments, and compliance with federal, state, and local authorities.
  • Manage employee garnishments in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Oversee the accurate processing, auditing, and reporting of employee expense reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate calculation and processing of commissions, collaborating with financial analysts.
  • Act as the SME for payroll systems, leading system updates, configurations, and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Partner with HR and finance teams for global payroll system implementations and improvements.
  • Lead payroll-related audits, process enhancements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Train and mentor payroll team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.
  • Provide accurate payroll reporting and insights to senior management.
Key metrics that will measure and define success for this role.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of payroll, commission, and tax processing.
  • Compliance with payroll tax regulations and garnishment requirements.
  • Effective implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and process improvements.
  • Strong collaboration with HR, finance, and cross-functional teams.
  • High levels of employee satisfaction and resolution of payroll-related inquiries.
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate's degree in accounting, business, or related field required.
  • Minimum 10 years of payroll processing experience in a high-volume environment (1,000+ employees).
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in payroll across 40+ states.
  • Strong experience with SaaS payroll systems (ADP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience processing sales commission calculations in a SaaS commission system (Xactly preferred).
  • Payroll experience in Canada is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet strict deadlines, and improve processes.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
