People Business Partner Your tasks
Position Summary: As People Business Partner you act as a strategic partner for assigned business units, addressing people-related challenges, supporting performance and development processes, and aligning talent with business goals to promote career development and equitable growth opportunities. Responsibilities: Act as a strategic partner at eye level for assigned business units, guiding employment policies and solutions. Support performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development processes to drive growth. Conduct employee exit process for departing employees; collect feedback, highlight trends and suggest solutions to address areas needing improvement. Help plan workforce needs, identify skill gaps, and support succession planning, aligning talent with business goals. Promote career development and equitable growth opportunities for employees. Partner with the DEI team to drive inclusive hiring practices and initiatives such as training programs and employee resource groups. Support organizational changes with clear communication and strong employee engagement. Assist leaders in implementing new policies and processes effectively. Use metrics to provide insights on turnover, engagement, and performance, supporting data-driven decisions. Gather feedback and leverage data to improve the People Organization programs. Contribute to People Organization projects, ensuring alignment between People Organization practices and overall organizational objectives. Employee Relations and Conflict Management: Ensure a positive work environment by developing and implementing policies that foster strong employee relations and minimize workplace conflicts. Handle disputes, complaints, and disciplinary cases in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Collaborate with managers to address people-related challenges, offering tailored solutions for conflict resolution, performance improvement, and disciplinary actions (PIPs, Warnings, etc.), Advising and Supporting Leadership: Advise leaders and managers on labor law issues, conflict resolution strategies, and the fair handling of employee matters. Provide guidance on implementing disciplinary actions and promoting fair work practices. Legal Compliance: Ensure that all People Organization practices and decisions comply with labor laws. Take responsibility for monitoring changes in legislation and implementing them within the company. Disciplinary Procedures and Policies: Develop and implement disciplinary procedures that ensure adherence to company policies. Regularly review and update procedural guidelines to meet current standards. Employee Satisfaction and Retention: Collaborate with leaders to improve employee satisfaction and promote retention. Develop initiatives to boost morale and prevent escalations. Investigating Employee Complaints: Lead investigations into complaints, discrimination, or misconduct in the workplace. Conduct effective and thorough fact-gathering and objective investigations. Ensure thorough, confidential, and fair handling of incidents Willingness to travel regularly to the business sites. The anticipated annual base pay range for this full-time position is $85,000-$95,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. The compensation package may also include an annual bonus target, subject to eligibility and other requirements. Your qualifications
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a People Business Partner or in a related People role. Human Resources Certification (PHR/SHRM-CP/CCP) designation Experience within a professional services organization or the insurance industry is preferred. Specific Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Strong consultative skills, with the ability to provide tailored People support to meet business needs. Proficiency in employment laws and regulations, employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning. Familiarity with People data analysis, with the ability to use metrics to inform people decisions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on relationship-building and problem-solving. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams). Able to successfully operate within a matrixed structure and work as part of a global team Working knowledge of applicable U.S. laws and regulations related to the HR function (EEO, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, FLSA, HIPPA etc.), familiarity with international employment regulations desirable Fundamental competencies form the foundation for individual and organizational success in TUV SUD and apply to all employees and showcase behaviors aligned to TUV SUD values and culture cornerstones and will be evaluated in performance assessments.: Communication Collaboration Customer Orientation Self- Management Additional Information
