Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.

The Research Data Associate will provide support for ongoing research projects conducted by the Breast Surgery Research Team. The research data associate will track study goals, assist with scheduling activities in participant recruitment and screening, and assist with study activities in conjunction with the Research Project Manager, Research Coordinator, and Principal Investigator. The Research Data Associate will be responsible for complete and accurate data entry and will assist with literature reviews and reporting of data as needed. The research data associate will ensure compliance with protocols as per good clinical practice and HIPPA.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Data collection and data entry: Review and input data, enter and document all data accurately and according to protocol. Maintain study-related database. Utilize established methodologies to collect information for research projects, gathers and compiles data, statistics and other materials as needed under supervision of the research project manager. Inputs clinical and non-clinical data into the database and/or case report forms. Extracts data needed for manuscripts and provides data as needed. Assists with literature reviews as needed and may retrieve reference materials from various sources.
  • Participant recruitment and tracking: Assist with recruiting and screening patients for eligibility and completes necessary paperwork, questionnaires, and data entry for participants. Review entered data and obtain missing information. Document all data accurately and neatly. Ensure attention to detail. Maintain patient confidentiality. Adhere to adverse events reporting protocols. Track participant flow through the study and update tracking logs in an accurate and timely manner. Maintain participant-tracking databases for compliance with data monitoring and confidentiality protocols. Contact participants to schedule them for study visits and send retention letters as needed.
  • Protocol compliance: ensure that study activities are carried out in accordance with the protocol, HIPPA, and GCP, including but not limited to participant recruitment and screening, participant research visits and follow up visits. Ensures clear and accurate documentation.
  • Performs other duties as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have an Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field
Prior experience in a health care setting and/or research experience
Prior patient education experience
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 - $60,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
