While reporting to the Plant Manager, as a Lead or Supervisor you will provide leadership in safety, productivity, quality, cost performance, and employee relations in a high-performance work team environment. The following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role in the leadership team. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.

What you'll be doing:

• Supervisory Level only - Supervise all production activities for assigned Finishing Department, schedule department employees as well as crew machines to cover vacations, absence, and overtime
• Communicate directly with plant scheduler, customer service, and customers to advise of status in finishing department- proactively communicate any delays in shipment
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling of Finishing and Gluing department
• Coordinate any inventory needs, orders, and cycle counting
• Develop finishing and gluing team members through education, coaching, training, and teamwork
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement initiatives including SPS continuous improvement tools and methodologies
• Work with CSD pillar leader to develop and edit procedures to accurately describe all processes
• Lead DTM and 5S activity in conjunction with Senior Finishing and Senior Gluing Operators
• Responsible for decision making (with the support of the Quality Tech) for all quality problems associated found in finishing department
• Fill in as packer/operator as needed
