Job Description

Are you an experienced Electrical Project Manager with a passion for working on projects that make a real difference in people's lives? Join us at IPS-Integrated Project Services, where we design and build state-of-the-art facilities for the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical manufacturing plants, clean rooms, research labs, and cancer treatment centers. We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Project Manager to join our construction team in Somerset, New Jersey, and lead critical projects to successful completion.

About the Role: As an Electrical Project Manager, you will manage and oversee electrical construction projects (primarily involving standard medium voltage 480 and below) for life sciences facilities. You'll be responsible for delivering multi-million-dollar projects safely, on time, and on budget. This includes coordinating engineering, construction management, and superintendent teams, and maintaining preconstruction, construction, and closeout execution plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead electrical project management for construction of pharmaceutical, biotech, and animal health manufacturing facilities.
  • Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and change orders, working closely with the Project Director/Senior Project Manager and the accounting team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate vendor/subcontractor invoicing and client billing.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure constructability, compliance, and quality of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate construction schedules with design, commissioning, and qualification requirements.
  • Mitigate project risks in partnership with senior leadership.
  • Champion the safety program on-site, working closely with Construction Managers and Superintendents to monitor performance and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients, ensuring high-quality work that aligns with IPS's reputation for excellence.

Qualifications & Requirements

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in electrical project delivery, with a focus on construction and electrical systems.
  • Experience managing large-scale, multi-million-dollar electrical construction projects.
  • In-depth understanding of electrical systems, including medium voltage systems (480V and below).
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain and maintain).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in construction of pharmaceutical, bio-tech, and/or life sciences facilities.
  • Experience with piping and civil systems a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Strong team-building skills, work ethic, and a passion for high-quality project delivery.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
