Buckeye Partners is currently seeking a Systems Analyst, Operations Services to join our growing team!

Role Summary:

The Systems Analyst role is responsible for maintaining equipment and preventive maintenance data inside the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) database. Ensures quality of the data input meets standards and is consistent across the organization. This position will also be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities while producing system and program reports and KPIs. This position will provide data analysis, gap analysis and other ad-hoc analysis associated with asset data.

Responsibilities include:



  • Data Analytics. Identify, analyze and troubleshoot data discrepancies caused by user error or system issues. Lead the communication of higher-level issues that require IT interface and third-party vendor involvement. Update Manager of found or potential issues. Make recommendations for break/fix and database enhancements.
  • Record Maintenance. Ensure Equipment and Preventive Maintenance records are maintained for all Business units. Work with Project Management, Engineering, Field Operations, and third-party engineering firms to ensure data is accurate and up to date, which may include site visits. Establish work teams comprised of Corporate Program Owners and Field Operations to ensure data consistency. Successfully implement database cleanup initiatives.
  • Equipment and Preventive Maintenance Data Acquisition. Lead the effort in the collection and entry of Equipment and Preventive Maintenance data for new acquisitions, projects, and database audit & clean-up initiatives. Train Field Operations, Project Management, and third-party engineering firms on equipment information gathering and JDE tag & Preventive Maintenance Work Order creation.
  • Equipment and Preventive Maintenance Testing and Training. Assist with system updates and changes, including acceptance testing, quality control, and change management. Create and maintain database training materials for Corporate Employees and Field Operations.
  • Oversee third party contractors. Oversee work for all third-party contractors associated with J.D. Edwards (JDE) data uploads. Elevate issues to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-3 years related experience is required.
  • Proficiency using JDE, or similar system, is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products is required.
  • An understanding of pipeline and terminal maintenance, operations, regulations, and technical procedures is a plus.
  • An understanding of DOT, OSHA PSM, Coast Guard, and EPA regulations related to pipeline and terminal maintenance is a plus.

  • Must possess the ability to quickly develop working knowledge of regulatory compliance associated with rules, guidelines and process.
  • Must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal need for daily guidance.
  • The position requires up to 20% travel.

  • This role requires the ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Physical & Safety Requirements:



  • Normal office environment.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
  • This role continuously operates a computer and other office productivity equipment (i.e. a calculator, copy machine and computer printer).
